Attorney Lourdes Guiribitey was born in Cuba and entered the United States at a young age. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts, Summa Cum Laude, in History and International Relations with a minor degree in Political Science from Florida International University in Miami, Florida. Attorney Guiribitey obtained a Juris Doctor degree, Magna Cum Laude, from University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida.
Attorney Lourdes Guiribitey has dedicated all of her legal career to the practice of immigration law, even before becoming an attorney. As a law student, Attorney Guiribitey interned at the Krome Processing Center with Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center and actively engaged in the advocacy of the rights of immigration detainees after the controversial reform of the Immigration and Nationality Act in 1996. Attorney Guiribitey also interned as a law student with the Executive Office for Immigration Review (Immigration Court) prior to becoming an attorney. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree on May 20, 2001 and was admitted to the Florida Bar on October 1, 2001. Ms. Guiribitey established Lourdes M. Guiribitey, P.A. in December 2002 and has practiced as a solo practitioner in immigration law since that date. In May 2010, Ms. Guiribitey, after meeting all of the requirement and passing an examination, became Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Florida Bar.
