Attorney Carmen Arce was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2001 and has been practicing Immigration Law since that time. She has been an active member of The American Immigration Lawyers Association since 2002. She spent the first decade of her legal career working for two prominent Immigration Law Firms in Miami

In 2009, Carmen was one of only a handful of attorneys who successfully passed the exam to become Board Certified in Immigration & Nationality Law exam and became certified as an immigration expert by The Florida Bar. This makes Carmen one of only 75 attorneys in the State of Florida out of 95,000+ lawyers who may hold themselves out as experts in Immigration Law. She served for five years on the Board Certification Committee as a member, then Vice-Chair and Chair.

In February of 2011, she founded Arce Immigration Law and has directed the law firm since that time representing foreign nationals from all over the world in all types of immigration matters.

Carmen is an active member of the Investment Migration Council which meets annually in Geneva, Switzerland to discuss global migration through investments. She often speaks on immigration issues and has done so in the U.S., Venezuela, Colombia, Brazil, and Switzerland.

Carmen is tri-lingual in Portuguese, Spanish, and English. She was born and primarily raised in Texas. Her family instilled in her a deep respect of foreign language, art and culture. Her family also taught her the importance of higher education.

Upon graduating from high school, she received scholarships to attend Texas Tech University (TTU) where she majored in Spanish and minored in Secondary Education. During her time at TTU, she was an active member of The Golden Key National Honor Society and Vice President of Sigma Delta Pi, a Spanish Honor Society. She also spent a semester studying abroad in Mexico.

After graduating with honors, (Magna Cum Laude) from TTU in 1998, she went on to study law at Texas Tech University School of Law (TTU LAW). She was an active member of the student body throughout law school. In addition, she served as a Representative from her law school for the Hispanic National Bar Association.

In the Spring of 2000, Carmen was admitted to Georgetown University School of Law to attend its International Law Program in Florence, Italy.

Carmen graduated from Texas Tech University School of Law with her Doctor of Jurisprudence in the Spring of 2001. She then moved to Miami to began her law career. She enjoys spending time with her son, family, friends, and traveling. Carmen loves her job and finds it very fulfilling to help our clients establish their home in the United States.
