Jessica grew up in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Jessica graduated with honors from the University of North Florida with a Bachelors in Spanish, having received a faculty-nominated Award for Excellence in Spanish. Throughout her studies at UNF, Jessica spent her time empowering individuals in the Jacksonville community: teaching English to migrant farmers and volunteering at Hubbard House, the local domestic violence shelter.
Jessica graduated from Florida Coastal School of Law with honors in the top 15% of her class and obtaining certification in Business Law. While attending Florida Coastal, Jessica was a Senior Clinician in the Business & Entrepreneurial Law Clinic, providing legal assistance under a Florida-licensed attorney to local business start-ups by creating legal business structures, drafting contracts and business documents, and advising how to protect personal assets from liability. Jessica was also a research assistant in the Public Interest Research Bureau, providing free legal research to pro-bono attorneys. Jessica also enjoyed playing intramural basketball, flag football, and softball.
Throughout her legal education, Jessica interned at Boyer Law Firm, helping to provide legal research and memorandums to support firm cases, as well as authoring more than two hundred published articles analyzing a vast array of legal issues for the firm’s website. Upon graduation, Jessica was immediately hired on full-time, beginning in the international business litigation and contracts divisions, and currently specializing in contract review, contract drafting, and commercial litigation cases. Jessica is certified with the Florida Bar, and is a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association, the Florida Bar Association, and the American Bar Association.
When she is not working on her own caseload, Jessica enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, watching movies, weightlifting, volunteering at GlobalJax, and spending time with her husband, José, their son, Jaden, and their friends and family.
