Ms. Liliana Gomez was born in Cuba and came to the United States at the age of 9. She attended Florida State University, where she graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminology. While obtaining her undergraduate degree, Ms. Gomez volunteered at the Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, which sparked her interest in a career in law.

She later attended Florida International University College of Law. During law school, Ms. Gomez participated in the Immigration and Human Rights Clinic, where she had the opportunity to represent clients in their removal proceedings and gained invaluable insight into the immigration system. In her second year of law school, she began working as a clerk at Garcia & Qayum Law Group, where she built upon her experiences from the clinic and solidified her passion for immigration defense. Upon graduation, she joined the GQ team as an associate attorney.

Being an immigrant herself, Ms. Gomez is committed to advocating for the immigrant community. She is fluent in Spanish and English.
