Marina is an Associate at Fragomen’s Miami office, where she advises clients on all aspects of U.S. business immigration law, including E-2, H-1B, L-1, O-1, P-1, EB-1 and EB-5 visas. In particular, Marina works closely with the firm’s offices in Brazil to assist with nonimmigrant and immigrant matters for Brazilian clients seeking to migrate to the United States.
Marina first joined Fragomen as a Law Clerk, during which time she filed EB-1 and O-1 applications on behalf of individuals of extraordinary ability. During law school, she served as a Certified Legal Intern at the Carlos A. Costa Immigration & Human Rights Clinic, where she assisted indigent clients in deportation proceedings. She also served as a Legal Intern at the Department of Homeland Security and at the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office.
Marina has provided pro bono assistance to unaccompanied minors through Catholic Legal Services and volunteered at local citizenship drives. She also has traveled to Memphis, Tennessee, to participate in a Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) clinic, where she assisted five local children in obtaining DACA status.
