Mr. Miranda, a former immigration judge, is among a rare group of immigration attorneys with experience as an immigration prosecutor, defense attorney, and Judge. He is supremely qualified to represent individuals in immigration matters involving the Department of Homeland Security, the U.S. Immigration Court, the Board of Immigration Appeals, and the United States Court of Appeals.

Mr. Miranda is an immigration lawyer with extensive knowledge and experience in immigration matters. He received his Juris Doctorate degree in 1975 and was appointed as a United States Immigration Judge by then U.S. Attorney General Janet Reno in January of 1994 and served in said position in Miami, Florida until his retirement in September 2011.

PROFESSIONAL CAREER
As a Federal Immigration Judge, he presided over thousands of cases involving complex immigration issues, including asylum, marriage fraud, adjustment of status, cancellation of removal, waivers, and many other immigration issues.

Before becoming an Immigration Judge, Mr. Miranda had extensive experience as an attorney for the Puerto Rico Department of Justice, as a private attorney handling diverse and complex cases before the U.S. District Court and U.S. Court of Appeals, and as an attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in the Immigration and Naturalization Service.
